We did shaping again, he got all 4 paws in and was turning around and dropping. It’s a soft crate so the "door" is a zippered mesh.

By the end of the training session he was going in on command and automatically dropping. He waited patiently while I zippered up the door and walked to the end of the room and back. Unzippered the door and he waited to be asked to come out.

Ready for testing.

I finally saved up enough money and got a crate. So my nearly level 6 Toby is now a little level 1 Toby.

Did some shaping and got up to 1 paw in the crate. Tried again this morning, but we dont have enough time in the mornings for shaping.. so I will leave that for afternoon training.

Teaching the discrimination part of Scenting. Used a white sneaker, got him to "Bop It" 10 times, then introduced a black moccasin. After you alternate the positions of the shoes, he always got the first one wrong, then the next 4 right, then change the position of the shoes, first one wrong, next 4 right.
